Parte 52
38:25 Who hath cleft a channel for the waterflood, Or the way for the lightning of the thunder;
38:26 To cause it to rain on a land where no man is; On the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
38:27 To satisfy the waste and desolate [ground], And to cause the tender grass to spring forth?
38:28 Hath the rain a father? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
38:29 Out of whose womb came the ice? And the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
38:30 The waters hide themselves [and become] like stone, And the face of the deep is frozen.
38:31 Canst thou bind the cluster of the Pleiades, Or loose the bands of Orion?
38:32 Canst thou lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season? Or canst thou guide the Bear with her train?
38:33 Knowest thou the ordinances of the heavens? Canst thou establish the dominion thereof in the earth?
38:34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, That abundance of waters may cover thee?
38:35 Canst thou send forth lightnings, that they may go, And say unto thee, Here we are?
38:36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who hath given understanding to the mind?
38:37 Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of heaven,
38:38 When the dust runneth into a mass, And the clods cleave fast together?
38:39 Canst thou hunt the prey for the lioness, Or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
38:40 When they couch in their dens, [And] abide in the covert to lie in wait?
38:41 Who provideth for the raven his prey, When his young ones cry unto God, [And] wander for lack of food?
39:1 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? [Or] canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
39:2 Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? Or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
39:3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their young, They cast out their pains.
39:4 Their young ones become strong, they grow up in the open field; They go forth, and return not again.
39:5 Who hath sent out the wild ass free? Or who hath loosed the bonds of the swift ass,
39:6 Whose home I have made the wilderness, And the salt land his dwelling-place?
39:7 He scorneth the tumult of the city, Neither heareth he the shoutings of the driver.
39:8 The range of the mountains is his pasture, And he searcheth after every green thing.
39:9 Will the wild-ox be content to serve thee? Or will he abide by thy crib?
39:10 Canst thou bind the wild-ox with his band in the furrow? Or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
39:11 Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? Or wilt thou leave to him thy labor?
39:12 Wilt thou confide in him, that he will bring home thy seed, And gather [the grain] of thy threshing-floor?
39:13 The wings of the ostrich wave proudly; [But] are they the pinions and plumage of love?
39:14 For she leaveth her eggs on the earth, And warmeth them in the dust,
39:15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, Or that the wild beast may trample them.
39:16 She dealeth hardly with her young ones, as if they were not hers: Though her labor be in vain, [she is] without fear;
39:17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, Neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
39:18 What time she lifteth up herself on high, She scorneth the horse and his rider.
39:19 Hast thou given the horse [his] might? Hast thou clothed his neck with the quivering mane?
39:20 Hast thou made him to leap as a locust? The glory of his snorting is terrible.
39:21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: He goeth out to meet the armed men.
39:22 He mocketh at fear, and is not dismayed; Neither turneth he back from the sword.
39:23 The quiver rattleth against him, The flashing spear and the javelin.
39:24 He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage; Neither believeth he that it is the voice of the trumpet.
39:25 As oft as the trumpet [soundeth] he saith, Aha! And he smelleth the battle afar off, The thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
39:26 Is it by thy wisdom that the hawk soareth, (And) stretcheth her wings toward the south?
39:27 Is it at thy command that the eagle mounteth up, And maketh her nest on high?
39:28 On the cliff she dwelleth, and maketh her home, Upon the point of the cliff, and the stronghold.
39:29 From thence she spieth out the prey; Her eyes behold it afar off.
39:30 Her young ones also suck up blood: And where the slain are, there is she.
40:1 Moreover Jehovah answered Job, and said,
40:2 Shall he that cavilleth contend with the Almighty? He that argueth with God, let him answer it.
40:3 Then Job answered Jehovah, and said,
40:4 Behold, I am of small account; What shall I answer thee? I lay my hand upon my mouth.
40:5 Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; Yea, twice, but I will proceed no further.
40:6 Then Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
40:7 Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
40:8 Wilt thou even annul my judgment? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be justified?
40:9 Or hast thou an arm like God? And canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
40:10 Deck thyself now with excellency and dignity; And array thyself with honor and majesty.
40:11 Pour forth the overflowings of thine anger; And look upon every one that is proud, and abase him.
40:12 Look on every one that is proud, [and] bring him low; And tread down the wicked where they stand.
40:13 Hide them in the dust together; Bind their faces in the hidden [place].
40:14 Then will I also confess of thee That thine own right hand can save thee.
40:15 Behold now, behemoth, which I made as well as thee; He eateth grass as an ox.
40:16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, And his force is in the muscles of his belly.
40:17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: The sinews of his thighs are knit together.
40:18 His bones are [as] tubes of brass; His limbs are like bars of iron.
40:19 He is the chief of the ways of God: He [only] that made him giveth him his sword.
40:20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, Where all the beasts of the field do play.
40:21 He lieth under the lotus-trees, In the covert of the reed, and the fen.
40:22 The lotus-trees cover him with their shade; The willows of the brook compass him about.
40:23 Behold, if a river overflow, he trembleth not; He is confident, though a Jordan swell even to his mouth.
40:24 Shall any take him when he is on the watch, Or pierce through his nose with a snare?
41:1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord?
41:2 Canst thou put a rope into his nose? Or pierce his jaw through with a hook?
41:3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? Or will he speak soft words unto thee?
41:4 Will he make a covenant with thee, That thou shouldest take him for a servant for ever?
41:5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? Or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
41:6 Will the bands [of fishermen] make traffic of him? Will they part him among the merchants?
41:7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons, Or his head with fish-spears?
41:8 Lay thy hand upon him; Remember the battle, and do so no more.
41:9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: Will not one be cast down even at the sight of him?
41:10 None is so fierce that he dare stir him up; Who then is he that can stand before me?
41:11 Who hath first given unto me, that I should repay him? [Whatsoever is] under the whole heaven is mine.
41:12 I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, Nor his mighty strength, nor his goodly frame.
41:13 Who can strip off his outer garment? Who shall come within his jaws?
41:14 Who can open the doors of his face? Round about his teeth is terror.
41:15 [His] strong scales are [his] pride, Shut up together [as with] a close seal.
41:16 One is so near to another, That no air can come between them.
41:17 They are joined one to another; They stick together, so that they cannot be sundered.
41:18 His sneezings flash forth light, And his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
41:19 Out of his mouth go burning torches, And sparks of fire leap forth.
41:20 Out of his nostrils a smoke goeth, As of a boiling pot and [burning] rushes.
41:21 His breath kindleth coals, And a flame goeth forth from his mouth.
41:22 In his neck abideth strength, And terror danceth before him.
41:23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together: They are firm upon him; they cannot be moved.
41:24 His heart is as firm as a stone; Yea, firm as the nether millstone.
41:25 When he raiseth himself up, the mighty are afraid: By reason of consternation they are beside themselves.
41:26 If one lay at him with the sword, it cannot avail; Nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft.
41:27 He counteth iron as straw, [And] brass as rotten wood.
41:28 The arrow cannot make him flee: Sling-stones are turned with him into stubble.
41:29 Clubs are counted as stubble: He laugheth at the rushing of the javelin.
41:30 His underparts are [like] sharp potsherds: He spreadeth [as it were] a threshing-wain upon the mire.
41:31 He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: He maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.
41:32 He maketh a path to shine after him; One would think the deep to be hoary.
41:33 Upon earth there is not his like, That is made without fear.
41:34 He beholdeth everything that is high: He is king over all the sons of pride.
42:1 Then Job answered Jehovah, and said,
42:2 I know that thou canst do all things, And that no purpose of thine can be restrained.
42:3 Who is this that hideth counsel without knowledge? Therefore have I uttered that which I understood not, Things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
42:4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak; I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
42:5 I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; But now mine eye seeth thee:
42:6 Wherefore I abhor [myself], And repent in dust and ashes.
42:7 And it was so, that, after Jehovah had spoken these words unto Job, Jehovah said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
42:8 Now therefore, take unto you seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt-offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you; for him will I accept, that I deal not with you after your folly; for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
42:9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as Jehovah commanded them: and Jehovah accepted Job.
42:10 And Jehovah turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: and Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.
42:11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one a ring of gold.
42:12 So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: And he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
42:14 And he called the name of the first, Jemimah: and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
42:15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
42:16 And after this Job lived a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, [even] four generations.
42:17 So Job died, being old and full of days.
American Standard Version: Psalms
1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers:
1:2 But his delight is in the law of Jehovah; And on his law doth he meditate day and night.
1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, That bringeth forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also doth not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
1:4 The wicked are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
1:5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
1:6 For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous; But the way of the wicked shall perish.
2:1 Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate a vain thing?
2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, [saying],
2:3 Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us.
2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision.
2:5 Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure:
2:6 Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion.
2:7 I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee.
2:8 Ask of me, and I will give [thee] the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
2:10 Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
2:11 Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
2:12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.

5:11 But let all those that take refuge in thee rejoice, Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

7:3 O Jehovah my God, if I have done this; If there be iniquity in my hands;
7:4 If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (Yea, I have delivered him that without cause was mine adversary;)

8:1 For the Chief Musician; set to the Gittith. A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth, Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!
8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
8:3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?
8:5 For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor.
8:6 Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet:
8:7 All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field,
8:8 The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
8:9 O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth!
9:1 For the Chief Musician; set to Muthlabben. A Psalm of David. I will give thanks unto Jehovah with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works.
9:2 I will be glad and exult in thee; I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.

9:17 The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God.
9:18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten, Nor the expectation of the poor perish for ever.
9:19 Arise, O Jehovah; let not man prevail: Let the nations be judged in thy sight.
9:20 Put them in fear, O Jehovah: Let the nations know themselves to be but men. Selah
10:1 Why standest thou afar off, O Jehovah? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
10:2 In the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued; Let them be taken in the devices that they have conceived.
10:3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, And the covetous renounceth, [yea], contemneth Jehovah.
10:4 The wicked, in the pride of his countenance, [saith], He will not require [it]. All his thoughts are, There is no God.
10:5 His ways are firm at all times; Thy judgments are far above out of his sight: As for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them.
10:6 He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved; To all generations I shall not be in adversity.
10:7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression: Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
10:8 He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; In the secret places doth he murder the innocent; His eyes are privily set against the helpless.
10:9 He lurketh in secret as a lion in his covert; He lieth in wait to catch the poor: He doth catch the poor, when he draweth him in his net.
10:10 He croucheth, he boweth down, And the helpless fall by his strong ones.
10:11 He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten; He hideth his face; he will never see it.
10:12 Arise, O Jehovah; O God, lift up thy hand: Forget not the poor.
10:13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God, And say in his heart, Thou wilt not require [it]?
10:14 Thou hast seen [it]; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: The helpless committeth [himself] unto thee; Thou hast been the helper of the fatherless.
10:15 Break thou the arm of the wicked; And as for the evil man, seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
10:16 Jehovah is King for ever and ever: The nations are perished out of his land.
10:17 Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek: Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear;
10:18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, That man who is of the earth may be terrible no more.
11:1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain;
11:2 For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string, That they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart;
11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, What can the righteous do?
11:4 Jehovah is in his holy temple; Jehovah, his throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
11:5 Jehovah trieth the righteous; But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
11:6 Upon the wicked he will rain snares; Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.
11:7 For Jehovah is righteous; he loveth righteousness: The upright shall behold his face.
12:1 For the Chief Musician; set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Help, Jehovah; for the godly man ceaseth; For the faithful fail from among the children of men.
12:2 They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor: With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.
12:3 Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaketh great things;
12:4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
12:5 Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; I will set him in the safety he panteth for.
12:6 The words of Jehovah are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, Purified seven times.
12:7 Thou wilt keep them, O Jehovah, Thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.
12:8 The wicked walk on every side, When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
13:1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
13:2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
13:3 Consider [and] answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;
13:4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [Lest] mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.
13:5 But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
13:6 I will sing unto Jehovah, Because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
14:1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good.
14:2 Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God.
14:3 They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.
14:4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people [as] they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah?
14:5 There were they in great fear; For God is in the generation of the righteous.
14:6 Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Jehovah is his refuge.
14:7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
15:1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
15:2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, And speaketh truth in his heart;
15:3 He that slandereth not with his tongue, Nor doeth evil to his friend, Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor;
15:4 In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honoreth them that fear Jehovah; He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not;
15:5 He that putteth not out his money to interest, Nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
16:1 Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God; for in thee do I take refuge.
16:2 [O my soul], thou hast said unto Jehovah, Thou art my Lord: I have no good beyond thee.
16:3 As for the saints that are in the earth, They are the excellent in whom is all my delight.
16:4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that give gifts for another [god]: Their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, Nor take their names upon my lips.
16:5 Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot.
16:6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; Yea, I have a goodly heritage.
16:7 I will bless Jehovah, who hath given me counsel; Yea, my heart instructeth me in the night seasons.
16:8 I have set Jehovah always before me: Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; My flesh also shall dwell in safety.
16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.
16:11 Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
17:1 A Prayer of David. Hear the right, O Jehovah, attend unto my cry; Give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.
17:2 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; Let thine eyes look upon equity.
17:3 Thou hast proved my heart; thou hast visited me in the night; Thou hast tried me, and findest nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
17:4 As for the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the ways of the violent.
17:5 My steps have held fast to thy paths, My feet have not slipped.
17:6 I have called upon thee, for thou wilt answer me, O God: Incline thine ear unto me, [and] hear my speech.
17:7 Show thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them that take refuge [in thee ]From those that rise up [against them].
17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
17:9 From the wicked that oppress me, My deadly enemies, that compass me about.
17:10 They are inclosed in their own fat: With their mouth they speak proudly.
17:11 They have now compassed us in our steps; They set their eyes to cast [us] down to the earth.
17:12 He is like a lion that is greedy of his prey, And as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
17:13 Arise, O Jehovah, Confront him, cast him down: Deliver my soul from the wicked by thy sword;
17:14 From men by thy hand, O Jehovah, From men of the world, whose portion is in [this] life, And whose belly thou fillest with thy treasure: They are satisfied with children, And leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
17:15 As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with [beholding] thy form.
18:1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of Jehovah, who spake unto Jehovah the words of this song in the day that Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: and he said, I love thee, O Jehovah, my strength.
18:2 Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
18:3 I will call upon Jehovah, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from mine enemies.
18:4 The cords of death compassed me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
18:5 The cords of Sheol were round about me; The snares of death came upon me.
18:6 In my distress I called upon Jehovah, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry before him came into his ears.
18:7 Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations also of the mountains quaked And were shaken, because he was wroth.
18:8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, And fire out of his mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it.
18:9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; And thick darkness was under his feet.
18:10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly; Yea, he soared upon the wings of the wind.
18:11 He made darkness his hiding-place, his pavilion round about him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
18:12 At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, Hailstones and coals of fire.
18:13 Jehovah also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered his voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.
18:14 And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; Yea, lightnings manifold, and discomfited them.
18:15 Then the channels of waters appeared, And the foundations of the world were laid bare, At thy rebuke, O Jehovah, At the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
18:16 He sent from on high, he took me; He drew me out of many waters.
18:17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from them that hated me; for they were too mighty for me.
18:18 They came upon me in the day of my calamity; But Jehovah was my stay.
18:19 He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
18:20 Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
18:21 For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not wickedly departed from my God.
18:22 For all his ordinances were before me, And I put not away his statutes from me.
18:23 I was also perfect with him, And I kept myself from mine iniquity.
18:24 Therefore hath Jehovah recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
18:25 With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful; With the perfect man thou wilt show thyself perfect;
18:26 With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; And with the perverse thou wilt show thyself froward.
18:27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; But the haughty eyes thou wilt bring down.
18:28 For thou wilt light my lamp: Jehovah my God will lighten my darkness.
18:29 For by thee I run upon a troop; And by my God do I leap over a wall.
18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him.
18:31 For who is God, save Jehovah? And who is a rock, besides our God,
18:32 The God that girdeth me with strength, And maketh my way perfect?
18:33 He maketh my feet like hinds' [feet]: And setteth me upon my high places.
18:34 He teacheth my hands to war; So that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.
18:35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation; And thy right hand hath holden me up, And thy gentleness hath made me great.
18:36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped.
18:37 I will pursue mine enemies, and overtake them; Neither will I turn again till they are consumed.
18:38 I will smite them through, so that they shall not be able to rise: They shall fall under my feet.
18:39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
18:40 Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, That I might cut off them that hate me.
18:41 They cried, but there was none to save; Even unto Jehovah, but he answered them not.
18:42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.
18:43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; Thou hast made me the head of the nations: A people whom I have not known shall serve me.
18:44 As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me; The foreigners shall submit themselves unto me.
18:45 The foreigners shall fade away, And shall come trembling out of their close places.
18:46 Jehovah liveth; and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of my salvation,
18:47 Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, And subdueth peoples under me.
18:48 He rescueth me from mine enemies; Yea, thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me; Thou deliverest me from the violent man.
18:49 Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah, among the nations, And will sing praises unto thy name.
18:50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king, And showeth lovingkindness to his anointed, To David and to his seed, for evermore.
19:1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork.
19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night showeth knowledge.
19:3 There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard.
19:4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
19:5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course.
19:6 His going forth is from the end of the heavens, And his circuit unto the ends of it; And there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
19:7 The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul: The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple.
19:8 The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart: The commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes.
19:9 The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever: The ordinances of Jehovah are true, [and] righteous altogether.
19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb.
19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: In keeping them there is great reward.
19:12 Who can discern [his] errors? Clear thou me from hidden [faults].
19:13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; Let them not have dominion over me: Then shall I be upright, And I shall be clear from great transgression.
19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in thy sight, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer.
20:1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble; The name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;
20:2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, And strengthen thee out of Zion;
20:3 Remember all thy offerings, And accept thy burnt-sacrifice; Selah
20:4 Grant thee thy heart's desire, And fulfil all thy counsel.
20:5 We will triumph in thy salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners: Jehovah fulfil all thy petitions.
20:6 Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed; He will answer him from his holy heaven With the saving strength of his right hand.
20:7 Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses; But we will make mention of the name of Jehovah our God.
20:8 They are bowed down and fallen; But we are risen, and stand upright.
20:9 Save, Jehovah: Let the King answer us when we call.
21:1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O Jehovah; And in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
21:2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, And hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah
21:3 For thou meetest him with the blessings of goodness: Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.
21:4 He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him, Even length of days for ever and ever.
21:5 His glory is great in thy salvation: Honor and majesty dost thou lay upon him.
21:6 For thou makest him most blessed for ever: Thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence.
21:7 For the king trusteth in Jehovah; And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.
21:8 Thy hand will find out all thine enemies; Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee.
21:9 Thou wilt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger: Jehovah will swallow them up in his wrath, And the fire shall devour them.
21:10 Their fruit wilt thou destroy from the earth, And their seed from among the children of men.
21:11 For they intended evil against thee; They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.
21:12 For thou wilt make them turn their back; Thou wilt make ready with thy bowstrings against their face.
